The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) maintains a list of crash test results as well as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. (NHTSA). They can be found at: www.iihs.org and www.safercar.gov

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration maintains the list of all recalls. You can also register your car seat so the manufacturer can automatically contact you if there is a recall.
